Ingredients
Method
- 1. Chill your tools
For best results, make sure your mixing bowl and whisk or mixer attachment are cold.
2. Combine ingredients
In the mixing bowl, add the cold heavy whipping cream, sugar (start with 2 tablespoons and adjust as needed), and vanilla extract.
3. Start whipping
Begin mixing on medium speed. As the cream thickens, increase the speed to medium-high.
4. Choose your consistency
For soft peaks, stop when the cream looks fluffy and forms gentle peaks when the whisk is lifted. For stiff peaks, continue whipping until firm peaks form that hold their shape. Don’t over-whip-it can turn into butter!
5. Serve
Use immediately to top desserts or store for later use.

Notes
Store whipped cream in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. To revive it, give it a light whisk before serving. Avoid reheating-serve cold for the best texture.
